Generic Lipitor (Atorvastatin)

Atorvastatin (a TOR va sta tin) is taken for reducing cholesterol and certain other fatty substances in the blood. Cholesterol and fatty substances, which accumulates on the artery walls, can decrease the flow of blood, which can cause a decrease in the supply of oxygen to the different organs like the heart and brain. Reducing cholesterol can prevent the risk of heart attack, stroke and angina.
