Antiviral COVID-19 medications inhibit the growth of RNA viruses. They treat COVID-19 in those infected by SARS-CoV-2. They reduce risk of hospitalization and death.

Among these Antiviral COVID-19 medications is Molupiravir 200, sold under the brand name Lagevrio. It is an FDA authorized medication to treat COVID-19.

What do Antiviral COVID-19 medications do?

It has been has been authorized for emergency use by FDA under an EUA, for the treatment of mild-to-moderate COVID-19 in adults who are at high risk for progression to severe COVID-19, including hospitalization or death, and for whom alternative COVID-19 treatment options authorized by FDA are not accessible or clinically appropriate.
