Brufen 600 – Anti-inflammatory

Brufen 600 is a NSAIDs (Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs). Take it for mild and severe pain relief. It is also used in fever reduction, menstrual pain and cramps.

What causes inflammation?

Your body becomes inflamed in response to an injury and/or infection.  The inflammation is caused by your immune system fighting the infection or injury. Your body produces chemicals to fight infection and these cause inflation.

Acute inflammation is short term. It follows surgery, soft tissue damage, or infection and is usually painful.

Chronic inflammation lasts longer. It can cause more damage. And causes the immune system to go into overdrive. This may lead to tissue damage.

First Stage of Inflammation

Small blood vessels dilate (widen) and become more permeable (leaky).  This allows proteins and blood cells into the tissues.  This fights invading pathogens. Dead tissue is removed and healing begins.These changes result in swelling and redness. Heat is also generated by increased blood flow.  Pain results from chemicals produced by inflammatory cells. This also induces fever. Ibuprofen (anti-inflammatory) reduces inflammation and decreases pain.

Joint diseases

Chronic degenerative joint diseases include rheumatoid arthritis. This includes juvenile rheumatoid arthritis.  Also, osteoarthritis (wear and tear).

Rheumatoid arthritis is an  inflammatory joint disease.  It causes the synovial membrane to become inflamed. When it becomes inflamed, causing swelling and pain in the joints.  Eventually, the cartilage and bone becomes damaged and can cause deformities.

Osteoarthritis is a type of arthritis that becomes more common with increasing age.  It causes wear and tear. Osteoarthritis also develops as a result of a joint injury, infection, or due to being overweight.

Cartilage

Cartilage covers and protects the ends of the bones in an articular joint.  Gradual disintegration of cartilage exposes the underlying bones.  This leaves them unprotected.  They rub against each other, which causes inflammation, pain, and stiffness. This also restricts joint movement.  Osteoarthritis is most common in the knees and hips.

Soft tissue injury

Ibuprofen is for pain and inflammation in sprains and strains. It is the result of trauma received in sports or by falls. In general there is damage to muscles, ligaments or tendons.  Ibuprofen (anti-inflammatory) relieves the inflammation and pain.

Other uses

Ibuprofen is also  to relieve post dental surgery pain and as a fever reducer.

It is also used to during painful menstrual cycles. Ibuprofen can reduce the discomfort muscle cramps and menstrual pain.

How long should I take Ibuprofen?

Ibuprofen – Missed Dose

Take the missed Dose as soon as possible but never take a double dose.  .

Storage:

You should store your Ibuprofen  tablets 800mg below 77°F in a cool dry place.
