Warf-3mg tablets are a class of drugs called ‘anticoagulants’ or blood thinners. It helps prevent and treat blood clots. Warf-3mg is the generic version of Coumadin.

It is specifically used for deep vein thrombosis (blood clots in leg veins) and pulmonary embolism (blood clots that gather in the lungs). Warf-3mg is also used to prevent blood clots in patients with atrial fibrillation (irregular heartbeat).

It is also used to reduce the risk of clots in patients who have undergone knee or hip replacement surgeries.

What is Warfarin?

Warfarin is a anticoagulant. Warfarin works by blocking thrombin in your body that is involved in the formation of blood clots.
How much Warf-3mg should be used?
Follow the specific instructions of your Doctor or Healthcare Provider. It is to be taken daily in the exact dose as prescribed by your Doctor.
Dosage:
Warf-3mg contains two milligrams of Warfarin.

When can you stop taking Warf-3mg?

Once it has been prescribed by your Doctor or Healthcare Provider do not stop taking Warf-3mg unless so advised by your Doctor. Doing without your Doctor’s consent cold put you at more risk of suffering from a heart attack, stroke or thrombosis.

When is the best time to take Warf-3mg?

It can be taken with or without food and it is best to take them at the same time each day. You may need to take this medicine for many years, even for life in some cases

What is Deep Vein Thrombosis?

Deep vein thrombosis is a condition in which blood clots form in deep veins usually in the legs. Pulmonary embolism is a condition in which a blood clot blocks the arteries in the lungs. Atrial fibrillation is a condition that causes irregular, often fast heartbeat

What if you miss taking your Warf-3mg?

If you miss a dose take it as soon as possible. However, if you are close to the time of taking your next dose then wait and return to your regular schedule. Do not double dose.

Common Side Effects:

The most common side effects is easier than normal bleeding. Such as from noise bleeds or bruising. Other side effects include, low blood pressure, nausea and decolorization or rashes of the skin.

Before you take Warf-3mg:

Insure that:

You are not allergic to Warfarin and that your Doctor or Healthcare Provider is aware of your lifestyle and any other medications or supplement you are taking. In addition, the types of foods that you normally eat.

Precautions:

Do not take Warf-3mg if you have Kidney or Liver issue. And do not mix with other anticoagulants. Also, do not take Warf-3mg if you are breastfeeding, pregnant or plan on becoming pregnant.

Do not take Warf-3mg if you are taking Vitamin K, Vitamin K supplements or foods rich in Vitamin K such as Spinach, Cucumber, Broccoli certain onions and Basil.

It is advised to avoid consuming alcohol when taking Warf-2mg.

Overdose:

If suffer from excessive bleeding you may have overdosed.  You must contact you Doctor or Healthcare Provider immediately.

Store Warf-2mg at room temperature in a dark and dry location. And keep out of the reach of children.
